How did you first become interested in football and when did you start playing?
I first started playing football from the age of 5. My uncle dragged me and my twin brother to join his u8’s team and from that very first session my parents couldn’t then stop me from kicking a ball around.
What was your first team?
Moors youth Boys U8’s.
Who was your sporting hero growing up?
That’s a tough one, I have a few. Patrick Vieira, Cesc Fabregas and Fara Williams. They are all Centre Midfielders where I play. I love their ability in their range of passing and just how well they read the game.
What positions have you played?
I have played everywhere, yes.. even in goal! But I wouldn’t volunteer to go back in goal again😂
Which teams have you played for?
Moors youth Boys, Moors Youth Girls, Tiverton Town, Bishops Lydeard, Plymouth Argyle, Exeter City.
What’s been your footballing highlight so far?
Has to be the treble season with Buckland Athletic Women. Going unbeaten, winning the league and getting promoted to the National League, winning the Devon County Cup, league Cup.
But another highlight has to be playing against some top players such as Lauren Hemp when she played for Bristol City and Helen Ward, playing against Watford in the FA Cup.

What are your hopes for the new season?
To play every game, to win every game, to win trophies but most importantly to just enjoy playing football.
What are your long-term goals in football?
Individually I’m always wanting to improve, so I’d love to be able to push myself to the top level possible - but I just want to enjoy playing and working hard.
What advice would you give to young girls who want to play football?
Never give up on something you love doing, work hard and you never know where it could take you. Enjoy the game you play with the people around you who have the same love as you.

Abbi Bond - Only GK I know, Jokes😜 I know she will make a save for the camera 😉 but on a serious note an outstanding goalkeeper, one of the best out there that’s for sure.
